Data Protection Statement

JOOP! places great importance on the protection of your data and will only collect, process and use your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and in accordance with the principles described below.

The body responsible for operating this website (referred to below as “website”) is Strellson AG, Sonnenwiesenstrasse 21, 8280 Kreuzlingen, Switzerland (referred to below as “JOOP!”). The latter is also the operator of the Online Shop (referred to below as “Online Shop”); however, the customer's contractual partner for purchases in the Online Shop is Lenox AG, a subsidiary.

What data do we collect and for what purpose?

Personal data is all the information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes your name, telephone number and your postal and e-mail address.

If you are just visiting the website or the Online Shop, you do not need to provide such personal data to us.

We collect, process and use your personal data in connection with the operation of the website, setting up and managing a customer account and providing services offered in connection with a customer account. Our subsidiary Lenox AG collects, processes and uses data collected as part of the ordering process in the Online Shop or data shared by you for this purpose via your user account as the basis of and for executing and processing purchase contracts in the Online Shop.

In addition, we (and Lenox AG as well) collect, process and use your personal data only to the extent permissible by law, in particular to the extent that you have given your consent for this. This may be the case, for example, if you have registered to receive newsletters.

Your Customer Account

The website offers you the option of setting up a personal customer account. You can enter personal information in your customer account, which is administered by JOOP!, so that you can shop conveniently in the Online Shop. But JOOP! also provides access to your buying history via the customer account and offers the option of setting up a wish list where you can mark items to buy later.

In order to set up a customer account, your first name and surname, your e-mail address, and postal address are required, together with a password of your choice. Entering additional data (telephone number, date of birth) is of course voluntary. You can update this data or delete the account at any time.

If you want to shop with us as a guest instead of using a personal customer account, your data (the same data is collected here as with a personal customer account) is only stored for as long as it is required for processing the purchase concerned, and is then deleted or barred.

The Online-Shop

The Online Shop is operated by JOOP!, but transaction processing is the responsibility of our subsidiary Lenox AG; it is also your sole contractual partner for purchases made there.

When you are logged into your customer account, the information required for processing the order that is stored there is automatically entered in the order form. JOOP! provides this information to Lenox AG for this – but only for the purposes of fulfilling the contract. It is of course also possible to place an order without using a customer account. Lenox AG always only processes and uses the information for processing the order, and also only if you have given your consent for this.

When you are logged into the Online Shop to place an order, your wish list and information about your purchases (items, price and date of purchase) are noted in your customer account.

Forwarding of data and use of data by third parties

We do not pass on your data to third parties unless we are legally obligated to do so or you have given your consent for this. However, certain personal data must be provided to our service providers in the EU and Switzerland for the processing of orders, e.g. logistics companies, but also to check your credit rating and for processing payments. During this processing of order data, these service providers are also contractually obligated to process your personal data only in accordance with the provisions of data protection law and the security measures required.

We point out that we do pass your address data (name and address) for a credit rating check (and for us then to select the payment method) to infoscore Consumer Data GmbH, Rheinstr. 99, 76532 Baden-Baden; we obtain information from them about your previous payment behaviour and credit rating based on mathematical and statistical processes using your address data. You can find further information about InfoScore Consumer Data's reporting procedures at

We have no influence on the scope of data that the providers collect via the plug-ins. According to statements by the providers, personal data, including the IP address, is only collected and processed if members are logged in.
